New Serger - New Projects

My husband bought me a new serger sewing machine this weekend, and I have been happily sewing! I am so thrilled to add this machine to my growing collection, but I have to make some room for it. Things are a wee bit crowded. My sewing room has been under construction. I painted the walls and hung new curtains, but I really need to get myself organized again. I've sewn a few things, but it's difficult until I get things back in order.

It's been a while

It's been some time since I've written here, and mostly because the renovations around the house have consumed my time. I haven't sewn a thing since before Thanksgiving. To top things off, my bipolar got the best of me sending me to the hospital right through Christmas day. I'm finally back on track, still facing more renovations, but trying to get my sewing room in order as well. I hope to be back at the sewing machine very soon. Some new furniture for the sewing room is on order to make room for a third sewing machine and my computer. Hopefully I will have something worthwhile to post very soon.

We survived!

Somehow we managed to be bypassed by Hurricane Sandy, in spite of all the severe warnings that were all over the television and radio. With a bit of water in the basement and no damage to speak of, we were very lucky. My thoughts go out to all those who were affected by the hurricane, particularly those who lost so much.
